When you choose WINAICO panels, you’re not just getting cutting-edge solar technology—you’re also getting the peace of mind that comes with our unique 3-in-1 complimentary insurance. Whether you’re an installer offering extra value to your customers or a homeowner investing in solar for the long haul, our insurance is here to help protect that investment from the unexpected.
Here’s what makes our insurance stand out—and what you need to know:
What is WINAICO’s 3-in-1 Insurance?
It’s an automatically included insurance policy that comes with every WINAICO residential solar system. This policy is underwritten by Willis Towers Watson and HDI Global SE, and provides coverage in three key areas:
- Property Damage – Covers accidental material damage to the system caused by things like storm, fire, hail, theft, or vandalism.
- Loss of Yield – If your system underperforms compared to its expected output due to an insured event, this policy helps cover the financial shortfall.
- Interruption of Service – If the system goes offline due to damage, you’ll be compensated for any lost feed-in tariff income.
What’s Covered?
The policy applies to residential systems that:
- Include WINAICO panels
- Are up to 15 kWp in size
- Have been professionally installed in accordance with relevant standards
And thanks to our recent updates, coverage now extends to a list of popular inverters and batteries—ensuring whole-of-system protection (more on that below).
How Long Does the Coverage Last?
The insurance is valid for 2 years from the date of commissioning, with the option to extend coverage to 5 years for an additional cost. The best part? The first two years are completely free.
Does It Cover Batteries and Inverters?
Yes! WINAICO’s insurance policy was recently expanded to cover full systems, including select batteries and inverters. This means if your installation includes WINAICO panels and one of the listed battery or inverter brands, the entire system is protected.
How Do You Make a Claim?
If something goes wrong, making a claim is easy:
- You or your installer simply contact WINAICO and provide your original insurance certificate and system details.
- Claims are then assessed by our insurance partner, and approved payouts are typically issued to the installer to cover repairs, replacement, or performance loss.
Why Offer Complimentary Insurance?
We believe quality solar should be stress-free. Our insurance gives homeowners an added layer of financial protection—without paperwork, added costs, or fine print. For installers, it’s a powerful value-add that builds trust and confidence with customers.
Solar is a smart long-term investment, and WINAICO’s complimentary insurance makes it even smarter. By covering property damage, yield loss, and income disruption—and now extending to inverters and batteries—it delivers real peace of mind.
